Tanrevel Starter Kit

This tanning system gives a really natural tan. It is easy to use. I think the only downside to this is that you have to use the tan revel tan product other tans cannot be used in it. I also found I like the darker tan so I purchased this separately - maybe just be me as I like a darker tan. I would recommend this product though as it give a hassle free natural tan.

So natural … I always get compliments whenever I use it ! Makes you look healthier with a natural summer glow and it’s super easy to use . My skin would be prone to breakouts but tanrevel is light and does not block pores like some other self tans . It literally is the same standard as a salon spray tan except better!

This device is perfect for a quick facial spray tan on the go, I can take this away with me instead of a big bottle of tan in a weekend away bag. I find that the amount it comes with last for quite a long time too so good value for money with refills. Super easy to use as well.

The product gives a good natural result, it isn’t orange. It’s very easy and quick to use.

It last for a couple of days and make my skin smooth. And there is a good amount in the bottle. The only thing is the smell which is really strong.

The colour can be patchy if applied too slowly, and very faint if applied strictly according to the instructions. Moreover, any colour effect achieved certainly doesn't last any longer than 48 hours, at least not on my skin, even though I cleanse gently with micellar water rather than using a foaming wash.

The instructions require that no moisturiser or liquid makeup be applied until at least two hours following application; that's a tough one for me as my skin is dry and hates to be without moisturising cream. Moreover, the tan application itself is somewhat unpleasant as one cannot avoid inhaling the steamed product.

Having tried every which way to like this product, I finally hit upon a reasonable compromise. I use a fine layer of hyaluronic acid serum ahead of the spray tan, then apply three layers at five-minute intervals. I find the 'Luxury Dark' tan works best in terms of colour - even on my pale complexion. I don't always wait two hours before applying moisturiser because I can't work that level of time delay into my daily regime.

My overall feeling is that, while this device is a clever and innovative idea, it's not quite ready to leave the drawing board just yet.
