What are the different ‘energy levels,’ and which one should I use?
Simply start with the lowest energy level setting until your skin feels comfortable moving onto level 2, then finally level 3. These energy levels are based on how quickly the Skin Sense Technology™ heats up your skin to the optimal collagen-producing temperature. Level 1 takes 30 seconds to reach 43˚C and level 3 only takes 18 seconds.
What counts as a treatment area?
Each treatment area represents a section of the face or neck you’d like to treat. The treatment areas are the forehead, brow 11’s, around the eyes, cheeks, smile lines, jawline, chin and neck.
What do I need to do if I want to treat my whole face?
We recommend following ’The Full Face’ for a full-face treatment. Fade forehead lines and crow’s feet while sculpting your cheekbones and jawline. It only takes 70 minutes, with 5 minutes per treatment area.
Is it safe, does it damage skin?
Yes. The CurrentBody Skin RF Device is completely safe, having been clinically proven, science and dermatologist backed. We don’t recommend using the device if you have highly sensitive or damaged skin, sunburn or over tattoos. You may feel a warming sensation or experience some mild redness, but both are completely normal just after a treatment.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
DO NOT use if you have an implanted pacemaker, arrhythmias or any other severe known heart disorder.
DO NOT use if you have any active or silicone implants, any implantable metal device or body piercing in the treatment area.
DO NOT use if you have any blood clotting disorders; a history of deep vein thrombosis, collagen disorders or keloid scarring; suffer from excessive bleeding, bruising or damaged wound healing; or are taking blood thinning medications.
DO NOT use if you have a history of skin cancer or areas of potential skin malignancies. Use of the device has not been tested in areas with skin.
DO NOT use if you had injected chemical materials (such botox or fillers), or plastic surgery (such as face lifting, eyelid surgery) in the treatment area within the past 3 months.
DO NOT use if you have had a professional chemical peel, a professional facial abrasion or ablative laser treatments within the past 3 months.
DO NOT use if you are pregnant, intend to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
DO NOT use if you have experienced a migraine in the last two years.
DO NOT use if you suffer from severe or uncontrolled endocrine or metabolic conditions, such as diabetes or uncontrolled thyroid disease.
DO NOT use if you have a damaged immune system or autoimmune disorder, such as AIDS or Lupus, or if you use drugs that influence the immune system.
DO NOT use if you have a general extreme illness, such as hepatitis, liver disease or epilepsy.
DO NOT use if you have diminished or exaggerated perception of temperature change.
DO NOT use if you have taken retinoids within the past 6 months.
DO NOT use over tattoos.
